An Interview with Team InfamyPosted on Sunday, March 8, 2009

Justin sits down with David "Prodigal" Wild and Steve "Rusto" Nakashima of Infamy Gaming to see what they have in store for eSports.

GCTVN: Could you please introduce yourself and your organization to give the readers an idea of who you are? TI: David Wild aka Prodigal and Steve Nakashima aka Rusto. We are the Founding members of Infamy Gaming, a Multi Gaming organization. Infamy Gaming is mostly older gamers who want to show the younger generation we can still hang with them. GCTVN: What games does Infamy Gaming currently compete in? Leagues? TI: We currently have teams in both Counter-Strike 1.6 and source, Team Fortress 2 , Call Of Duty 4 , and Left 4 Dead. This is the first season many of the teams have been together so we are starting off in CAL for Left 4 Dead and both CS divisions as well as ESL for the 1.6 division. TF2 is currently in TWL, CEVO, and CAL, COD4 is only in CAL for now. GCTVN: Do you plan on attending any LAN's or online tournaments in the next few months? If so, which? TI: Aside from the league play that we are already involved in, we have not yet decided to compete in any additional tournaments online at this time. As for LAN play, this year we are not planning on any LAN Tournaments as we are still building. If something promising were to come up you never know, but for now we would like to see Infamy just continue to grow and next year attending a few LAN events. Based on the outcome of this season we will be able to better decide how much work we still need to accomplish as a organization to be able to hold our own in LAN events. GCTVN: What sets Infamy Gaming apart from the others? TI: Infamy Gaming is no different from any other team. We all have goals and these goals include making a name for ourselves and showing people that we are a dominant factor in the online gaming community. Of course it would be great if our divisions reached professional levels in their leagues/games but only time will tell that. GCTVN: What can we expect to see coming from Infamy Gaming in the next few months? TI: Gaming wise, all of our Divisions will be entering the next seasons for their respective games/leagues, and we are currently picking up a few more games for expansion. From our web presence you can expect plenty of coverage for all our divisions, as well as anything else we feel is relevant to our team and/or the online community. GCTVN: Any shoutouts? TI: Definitely, Sean over at Fame Networks (web: www.famenetworks.com irc: #famenetworks) as well as everyone over at Max Frag (web: www.maxfrag.net irc: #maxfrag) for having faith and sticking with Infamy as we continue to grow. Also a huge thanks goes out to all the players and staff at Infamy, without them this team would not exist. They have worked tirelessly to ensure our website stays running and up to date as well as having each of our divisions practiced and ready for league play. GCTVN: Thanks for taking the time to talk to us. Hopefully we see one of the Infamy Gaming teams live here on GamerCastTV!

Want to see your team featured on GamerCastTV's website? Shoot of an email to Justin (justin@gctvn.com) with your organization name and key interests and maybe you will be the next team interviewed!
